Mandatory Credit: Darren Yamashita-Imagn Images Brazil's Corinthians got a late winner from captain Gabi Zanotti to defeat NWSL side Gotham FC 1-0 in the semifinals of the inaugural FIFA Women's Champions Cup on Wednesday in London.
Corinthians will face either home favorite Arsenal Women FC or Morocco's ASFAR in Sunday's championship match, with the winning team taking home $2.3 million and the runner-up team $1 million.
Zanotti's counterattack beat goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger in the 82nd minute and Gotham couldn't find an answer, managing only two shots on goal in the match.
Gotham lost forward Gabi Portilho to an apparent foot injury early in the second half, and team captain Rose Lavelle left with an injury during stoppage time.
Gotham will face the Arsenal-ASFAR loser in a third-place match on Sunday.
